About us
Family recipes are what make El Ranchero food unique. From the beans to the salsas, it is made with our traditions in mind. Each plate is created with love for our customers, as our Mexican parents and grandparents did for us.
El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant opened its doors to the public on February 3, 2020. The mission of the owner, Juan Hernandez, was to cook and serve food that represented the authentic and unique cuisine of Mexico.
Philosophy
Mexican food that brings families together while keeping traditions in mind
Born in Tepatitlan Jalisco, Mexico, Juan Hernandez, saw his dream to open a restaurant come into reality in Post Falls, ID. At the age of 14, Juan's first job was as a dishwasher. He quickly moved up to a waiter and eventually a cook. Juan has worked in the food industry for many years.
When the location of his first job became available, Juan jumped at the opportunity to make it his own. The same location he had his first job, is now the same location he now own El Ranchero. At the age of 29, Juan opened his heart and restaurant to the community. Juan's passion for cooking and serving continues to grow. He strives to create food that represents his Mexican roots and brings families together. He is a proud owner of El Ranchero and hopes to stay for a long time to come.
